Thanks so much @theoneswholive32! Thinking about this question, I realized three of my Top 5 favorite deleted scenes were all from 9.03 lol. Wrote out my list below. 💗⬇️:

#5: Richonne at the doctor's office with Judith (9.03)

I love seeing Rick and Michonne in full parent mode during the scene where they both take Judith to Siddiq to check on her cough. The way they assure Judith they’re going to do a Family Fun Day right after is so cute, and I like that Rick can share a knowing glance with Michonne when Siddiq asks about Judith’s family history. When they learn that a savior is missing, Michonne seems unsettled by that, but I always like the subtle moment at the end of this deleted scene when it seems that just looking at Rick and how unconcerned he is seems to give her a sense of calm for now.

#4: Richonne talking to Maggie before the Final War (8.16)

There’s a pattern on this deleted scenes list of me loving whenever Richonne get to operate as parents. And it’s nice seeing the two of them offer up their take on what it means to fight for your kids with an expecting Maggie. It’s especially meaningful considering the child Rick and Michonne lost this season, too. And then I like that as Maggie walks away, Michonne and Rick have their own private moment, and Michonne gets to tell Rick that she honored Carl’s wish of getting his letter to Negan. 

#3: Rick talking to Carol about finding The Right One (9.03)

I really like it when Rick and Michonne get to talk about their relationship with other people, and it didn’t happen often. But it does happen in this deleted scene, and seeing Rick beam with pride in getting to affirm he found the right one for him in finding Michonne was great. I like how Rick’s Lover Boy spirit means that he’s genuinely happy when other people find love too, so it was sweet that he took note of Carol’s wedding ring and let her know she found a good person and the right person in this apocalypse. And then it’s great that Carol feels the same way about Rick, believing he found his person in Michonne. And again, Rick emphasizing that by saying, “Yeah, I did,” was nice further confirmation that he knows Michonne is his true love.

#2: Richonne’s Picnic Blanket Conversation (9.03)

I almost forgot this scene is a deleted scene because I’ve watched it so much lol. I remember being so glad that there was a dialogue scene filmed on this picnic blanket because I absolutely loved the short snippet we saw of Rick, Michonne, and Judith’s picnic in the actual episode. Once again, it’s great seeing Richonne as parents as they watch Judith and talk about the future. It’s sweet how they hear Judith cough, and Rick is quick to reassure Michonne, and how Michonne is such a mom, saying she’s glad they still checked with the doctor. There’s like an added weight to this to me because at this time, Judith is their only remaining living child, and it’s so important to them that they ensure nothing happens that could cause them to lose her too.

And then I really adore that Rick has the future so on his mind during this Family Fun Day as he tells Michonne he essentially hopes they can have a few more years like this for Judith’s sake and for theirs. I love that it’s another sign that he’s so ready to have a baby with Michonne. It’s a big deal for the characters to be able to think in terms of years now, after initially having to just try to make it to the next day in this apocalypse. And it forever elates me that when Rick thinks of his future, he most wants it to be spent enjoying peace and calm with his favorite two girls and the baby they bring into the world. Ending the scene with Rick taking Michonne’s hand is perfect too, as Richonne + hands is always gold and communicates how loving their partnership is. 

#1: Michonne’s pep talk to Carl (& Rick😋) (7.16)

This is my favorite deleted scene and the one I most feel should have made the cut and been put into the season 7 finale. I’m glad that at least AMC did air an extended version of the s7 finale one time, which included this scene. So that makes it all the more canon in my eyes. The reason I felt this would have been a great scene to have in the episode is because one; it shows the headspace Rick, Carl, and Michonne are in before they take on the Saviors which is important, especially considering they’re three of the show's biggest characters.

Two; It’s one of the few times we get to see the three of them interact together since Richonne became a couple. Three; Carl thinking about what might happen if Rick is put in a position to chop Carl’s arm off again would have made it all the more full circle when Rick really does come seconds away from losing Carl later in the ep when Negan nearly lucilles him before Shiva’s grand entrance. And four; most of all I love how much this scene paints the picture of the wonderful matriach Michonne is in the Grimes family. When Rick wasn’t quite sure how to respond to Carl’s questions, I love how Michonne was able to step in and perfectly address Carl’s concerns. Her winning mentality here is great and so true to who she is. She doesn’t fantasize failure and she believes so strongly in her and her family’s ability to overcome which is evident in her words to Carl.

Hearing her give this rousing speech makes it even more powerful when she’s fighting off that one Heapster later in the episode and trying to say their “We’re the ones who live” motto aloud. It was nice to see Michonne’s words resonate with Carl in this deleted scene, and especially with Rick. 🤭 Because the way that man Rick is riveted looking at Michonne as she speaks life into Carl - it’s such a nice depiction of how much he loves, reveres, and appreciates Michonne’s role in both his and Carl’s life. Her words clearly infuse a lot of confidence in Rick and make him feel ready to take on whatever may come because he's going to take it on with her.

I also love the way both Michonne and Rick kiss Carl in this scene. It was another great Richonne-as-parents moment. And then when Michonne tells Rick lets go get our army, I love Rick’s smitten response to that and the way he then looks over at Carl like he just couldn’t be prouder that Michonne is his wife and a vital member of the Grimes family.😊

I feel like theres a symbolism that means something in Malevolent i wish so so bad i could tell more people about but theres not a lot to say or tell what it really culminates into meaning Arthur absorbed part of lilith, hes carrying part of her just like he does faroe with his lighter Arthur lights a fire that survives the rain but lilith stamps it out Kayne says to arthur "you let your daughter die" with such anger it sounds like he also blames arthur yet he actively killed lilith in a manner that leads me to wonder if hes upset arthurs daughter still loved him yet Kaynes resents him Kayne asks Arthur if he was a premie in the early 1900s care for premature infants is not what it is today. They were considered inferior and often didn't survive. Kayne named himself after caine who kills his brother. His name is intentional. Lilith brings about the death of infants. Did Arthurs parents turn to worship lilith because they gave birth to a child who they feared would die? This is almost a reversal of Larson who sacrificed his daughter. And the price paid for it didnt have to be right away as Evrards father died later on as well. Is this part of why Lilith spared Arthur all those years ago? this somewhat connects to Arthur surviving his injury from Kellin because a nurse "lily" looked after him while in a coma. Foreshadowing? it means stuff im certain it does but what?? idk pattern recognition brain can grab pieces but as for how it fits together good question. Im so normal about the podcast if you couldnt tell

So i twigged that she looked like their mom the first time we saw her, but I thought it was just anime lazy, or something. I didn't put too much meaning behind it. I thought it might come up later but not in the way I now think it's going to go.

The show is drawing specific attention to the fact that not only does it LOOK like their mom, it SOUNDS like their mom. So, I mean, evil twins aside, I think I must have to believe it is their mom. Kinda. In a way.

So, either she faked her death, which, admittedly, I would love if Doormat Mom ended up being a terrible parent who faked her death to get away from her children and join the upper ranks of an authoritarian military class, but I do not think that's what's happening. We've been given clues that their FATHER might be a Real Cunt, but their mom is, I think, supposed to be fairly unquestionably good, even though she's mostly an inciting incident.

OR, and this is what I think it is: Alchemy of the dead--which has a name, I just can't remember what it is, sorry, I keep thinking 'transubstantiation' but that's a very different thing-- isn't as impossible as we've been told*. Someone managed to bring her back, and managed to bring her back AFTER Ed made a mess of her. So a) who? and b) why?

Who: Their dad? I mean, this would set him up as an asshole, and I love that for him. I love Ed's hatred of his father, and it makes me wish that at least Russell...Trigham? Maybe? Were still around because I think playing them off each other is really fascinating. Other than dad, maybe Tucker? I don't like that as an answer, and I don't think he would have gone full horrifying chimera with Nina if he had proven he could do that, but he's the only one I remember seeing playing in this sphere OTHER than Ed. I don't think this is Roy's bailiwick. He's a fire guy, and anything I thought he might be able to do otherwise has kind of been proven wrong.

Why: This one's even harder. I love the idea that it's just to fuck with Ed, but if it's to fuck with Ed, why haven't they presented her before? I have no good answers to this one.

Also, this is 99% a case of 'came back wrong.' She IS their mother, but very distinctly not, anymore. She shows no concern or thoughts of them. She does her job by rote and dispassionately. Whatever or whoever is controlling her has no interest in her as a mother or a person. I can't imagine that she would have wanted this, I know I would be like, "lol you fucking let me die, asshole." I want the boys to have to kill her but also I want someone to do them a favor and put her down for them.

It took him a little while to come to terms with the fact that he was in love with you, but the moment he did it was like a switch turned on in his brain.

He couldn’t get you out of his mind; he’d do anything to make you happy.

The small meow of a cat catches your attention amidst the loud pitter and patter of the rain. “Meow!”

Halting in your steps to turn around, you peer into an alleyway, and there sits a white cat with green glasses— how is that even possible?— drenched in rain, looking up at you.

“Meow!” It says again, as if it was talking to you.

“Aww!” Crouching down, you place your umbrella in between your neck and shoulder to take hold of him.

Surprisingly, he does nothing to make you put him down, usually when you pick up strays they do everything in their will to make you let go of them.

“Aren’t you a cute one?” You ask the cat— in that stupid little voice that parents use on their babies, and it just looks at you; a smile finds its place on your face.

You forget just how easily animals can make you lose any unpleasant feelings, earlier you were just upset about the bakery not having your favorite in stock and now you’re smiling wide, holding a cat.

Already making up your mind to take it home— just to give it shelter until the rain stops— you stand up. “It must be so hard to be out in the rain like this!”

with samy out in california for a soccer game, hannah had the whole apartment to herself for the entire weekend. her whole plan started as just using the time to study, cleaning up a bit, and just unwinding by herself since the start of the semester had been so hectic.

oh, how fast that changed.

hannah mentioned to james that she'd be alone this weekend, not thinking much of it. the next thing she knew he was texting her telling her he was currently boarding a plane for detroit. it quickly dawned on the brunette that james, her..whatever they were..was coming to michigan. to see her. for the whole weekend.

they would be by themselves for the whole weekend.

it felt so, so wrong to go behind samy's back like that. her and hannah were friends since day one. they told each other almost everything, besides this of course. and hannah wanted to tell samy about james but she just didn't know howm especially when the two didn't even know what exactly they were.

so hannah just decided not to tell samy. the girl would be in california the whole weekend. the younger duke sister would make the apartment look like james wasn't even there when he left sunday morning.

it was just a matter of making sure everyone else in ann arbor would not find out james was there because of her. not that it was hard or anything, but it was already going to be a hurdle because her parents were in town to watch her meet which meant tyler would be there and that meant his hockey friends would be there and that meant hannah needed to make sure james would be as unrecognizable as possible.

"i feel like they're gonna know it's me," james stated as he threw on a michigan hoodie and one of many baseball hats hannah owned.

"i mean..the only person you really know is tyler and maybe he won't see you if you sit far enough away from them," hannah bit her lip though because she was a little afraid of people finding out about her and james.

not because she was ashamed, but more because they didn't even know what they were and agreed to keep it a secret. plus, tyler might rip one to james if he knew he was dating his twin sister.

"hey, don't worry. no one is gonna find out," james caught her worry fast. he cupped her face with his hand, a reassuring look on his features so she would mirror them.

she leaned into his touch, but not too much because she just did all of her makeup. "i know, i know. i think it's just all around nerves."

"you're gonna be awesome out there. i don't know a gymnast better than you," the boy praised earning a blush on hannah's cheeks.

he leaned in to press a gentle, but loving kiss to her lips. he was definitely taking off all her lip gloss, but hannah didn't care. she loved kissing him and seeing his own lips have a shine to them afterwards. sure enough when she pulled away, james' lips were stained with her berry gloss.

"you taste like berries," the boy pointed out.

"yeah, you have some now," she reached up to swipe his bottom lip. the hockey player blushed a bit.

"good," james pecked her lips one last time before letting her go because she had to be at the arena soon.

"i'll see you later. you know how to get over there right?" hannah started collecting her bag.

"yup, don't worry. i'll call you if there's problems."

they exchanged one last goodbye (or more like 2 or 3) before hannah escaped her apartment. she walked with some of her teammates who lived close by, temporarily forgetting about the boy in her apartment as she started preparing for the meet.

the stands were pretty full like usual. michigan gymnastics was quite popular amongst the students, so the girls always got a good turnout whenever they were at home. hannah scanned the stands for her parents and brother during warmups. she spotted them in one of the middle rows and waved. tyler brought a handful of hockey boys with him like usual. she could make out moldy, tj, ethan, mark, and luca who also all waved and jumped up like crazy when the girl saw them.

hannah grinned and without being too obvious, tried finding where james ended up. between all of the other students and michigan fans, it was hard to spot him in the maize and blue.

she almost worried he didn't make it in until she finally found the hat he was wearing on the complete other side of the stands. he was sitting middle, hat pulled pretty low over his eyes, but she knew it was him. a tiny smile graced her lips before looking away so she didn't draw any attention to him.

the gymnast almost felt giddy with the idea of having her..situationship (?) hiding in the stands so he wouldn't get recognized by the other hockey players and student population in general. everyone always knew when hannah was talking to a guy, so this was a first for her.

james' gaze found where hannah's parents and brother was sitting across the stands. he figured that they wouldn't pick him out of the crowd being on the other side, but he kept his hat low just in case and tried to blend in as best as possible. his eyes were on hannah anyway, watching her warm up in her events which seemed like she was all-around today. the hockey player always got nervous when she was all-around because it was more chances she might hurt herself, but he also knew hannah was trained in this and injuries were low chances for the most part.

the meet began shortly after warmups finished. james used the screaming of the student section to also cheer when hannah was anounced. the duke sister waved to everyone with a wide smile and james couldn't help but think how much she fit in with everyone down there. it made sense why she loved it so much because he's never seen such a glow on her face besides right now.

michigan started with vault and james was on the perfect side for a good view of the dismount.

it was no secret how good the michigan girls were at gymnastics. it was why they drew such a big crowd at every meet, but even from vault, james could telll why they were nationally ranked in the top 10 DI college teams. the girls were good.

when hannah's turn came james' gaze never left her. her parents and brother from the other side also cheered her on with excitement. vault wasn't hannah's favorite or specialty, but she was still damn good at it.

she stuck the landing which earned a lot of cheering from her teammates and student section. james jumped up as well, one weight off his chest because the first event was over. the event he was most excited to see bars because it was hannah's favorite and also the one she was really good at. she was a gold medalist in this event. although, it also stressed james out because it was the scariest event in his opinion.

hannah was anchoring the group in bars like usual. james ended up catching her gaze when she glanced in his direction. a soft smile sat on his lips as a small gesture of encouragement. hannah returned it before looking away so no one caught onto who she was looking at. the boy glanced up to where her family was and luckily, no one seemed to really notice who she may be looking at.

when it was finally the brunette’s turn james literally held his breath as soon as she swung on. she was in the air not even seconds later. it made sense why bars was her best event because james had never seen a routine more clean and perfect as hers. she swung through her passes like a pro, hardly even missing a beat as she pointed her toes and straightened her legs within milliseconds of grabbing the next bar. his breath still hadn’t left his chest though because hannah needed to have a successful landing for him to breathe again.

she made her last pass and then geared up to make her dismount. she did three big swings before spinning off the bar and landing square on the mat. she didn’t even stumble or anything as she spun around to signal to the judges that she was finished.

more cheers erupted in the stands for hannah's successful routine and landing, always so elegant and graceful. james breathed easier now that she was back on the ground.

as suspected, hannah got almost close to a perfect score, 9.998 which was around the same as her vault. her teammates clapped her on the back for pushing michigan ahead of their opponents. the girl flushed at all of the praise and people in the stands chanting her name.

the rest of the meet went smoothly and hannah’s near perfect scores earned michigan their win. no wonder why she was an all-around because she definitely proved how good she was at all of the events in general.

james snuck out of the stands before someone started talking to him. he knew hannah would be caught up with her family and brother’s hockey friends so he decided to just head back to her apartment with the spare key to wait for her there. however, the two weren’t as sneaky as they hoped because moldy was the one who pulled the girl to the side to ask about it.

“you got eyes for someone nowadays?” the hockey player smirked. hannah played dumb though.

“what are you talking about?” she laughed.

“i saw you looking at the other side of the stands,” nick nudged her arm, the smirk still on his lips. he was like ryan and gabe were to samy who knew everything about her after becoming so close their freshman year when he loved a floor above her and samy.

“you’re funny,” the brunette shook her head.

“it doesn’t..happen to be one of the bc hockey guys does it?” nick said and hannah snapped her head back to him, shock written on all of her features.

“how did you..”

“i’m not that blind, duker. he’s pretty recognizable,” nick shrugged. “you can always pick out a hockey player in a crowd.”

“okay..well, don’t tell anyone. we’re not even..” hannah trailed off when she noticed the other guys looking in their direction.

“i got you. who’d i even tell anyway?” the taller boy smiled.

“my brother?” hannah said like it was obvious but nick shook his head. he left it at that as he casually rejoined the group while hannah’s parents took their turn congratulating her.

“i..i don’t…not really. i don’t know. we started talking over the summer kind of. i guess he’s liked me for..awhile,” hannah explained.

“so it’s like hookup?” it always sounded so bad putting it that way.

“maybe? i don’t know. yeah?” the girl flushed.

that was a scary question hannah always hated hearing. whenever someone asked her that it always made her freeze up. she wasn’t someone who liked people in that way. she liked them, sure, but more as something fun and never serious. whatever her and james had thought was starting to feel way different than anything else.

“yeah?” hannah said unsurely.

“that doesn’t sound sure,” nick raised his eyebrow and stopped as they made it to the front door of the building.

“i don’t even really know. you know how i am. i don’t go all in but..something about this is different. i..i wouldn’t mind..going all in,” her words brought a smile to nick’s lips.

“that’s a first coming from you, duker. i respect it though. he seems like a good guy so i’m not worried if something does end up happening,” nick chuckled while hannah shook her head.

they made their way inside to the elevator. hannah pressed 4 while nick pressed 7.

“well, my lips are sealed. i won’t tell,” nick agreed which hannah appreciated.

“i owe you,” she giggled as the door slid open to floor 4. she waved goodnight to nick and made her way down the hallway to her apartment. her and samy had a cat welcome mat at the front door that was dirty from when samy walked in with muddy sneakers after a rainy practice.

it was dark besides a small light from the hallway. hannah quietly shut the door and followed the soft glow to her bedroom. james was already tucked into her bed looking half asleep on his phone. his gaze bounced to her when she stepped into the doorway.

“oh, hey. sorry, i got tired,” he mumbled. the girl smiled.

“sorry to keep you up,” she hummed, kicking her shoes off and dropping her bag onto the ground.

“it’s fine. how was dinner?” james threw his phone down and made room in her bed for her.

hannah crawled in even though her hair was still up and she was in her warm up t-shirt and sweatpants. “it was good. my parents are good. brother is good.”

“good, i’m glad. you did really good today,” the hockey player complimented earning a bright blush on hannah’s cheeks.

“thank you. it was nice finally having you there.”

james smiled, leaning forward to press a gentle kiss to her forehead. his eyes were dangerously close to closing again, but he wrapped his arm around her torso to bring her closer. hannah immediately snuggled into him without a second thought. it was..freeing to not have to worry about someone seeing them in the moment and they had the whole apartment to themselves for another day.

“i should make more spontaneous visits more often,” james mumbled sleepily.

“yeah, you should,” the duke sister agreed. she’d take having him here over anything and that was saying a lot.

the meet wiped her out, so it didn’t take long for hannah to fall asleep once james finally shut his eyes. they stayed wrapped up in one another the whole night.

Things I hate in Miraculous Fanfiction+Fandom Edition

Okay, I get, Miraculous show is a fifty-fifty for me, however Miraculous fan fictions are seventy-thirty, seventy leaning towards hate. No specific titles will be mentioned, and this is just on what I hate why I hate it.

Any Fanfiction including Nathaniel, Kagami, and Lila as the bitches.

For people who know, back then, these three were hated, and characterized to be bitches and motherfuckers for specifically on YouTube, as Kagami and Lila as bullies of Marinette and obsessive of Adrien, and Nathaniel as this some guy who only cares about Marinette "Just for her sexy body" (This is an almost direct quote, and their 14 for fucking sake) in middle of season 2 release.

The characters in this tropes make their whole personality trait being falling in love and being rude and hatable. Comparing this to the show honestly the show's characterization a lot more better only by a pinch of sugar, even Lila is not a character driven to love Adrien the most.

I don't mind people just mischaracterize or make someone an antagonist however the only apparent purpose of antagonizing these three characters are that they "Threat" the Adrinette ship. What makes it hypocritical is that Luka (A character who showed up along with being a potential love interest for Marinette like Kagami with Adrian) in this trope, he is always the "good" character because he needs to be shipped with a "redeemed" Chloe. The basic problem is that even though Luka threats the main ship, he is not really characterized to be like the description above.

2. When the Akumaclass defends Lila in the extremest way.

Like the above, I don't mind people antagonizing certain characters for certain reasons, but in some fanfics, where people would antagonize the akumaclass and characterize them as "bullies because they believe in Lila's lies" why? Like it's super out of character especially for Mylene, Rose, Ivan, Nathaniel, and Juleka. They believe in Lila's lies but don't force Marinette to do so except for Chameleon episode.

Then again them believing in Lila is not farfetched since their own lives are spectacular and pretty interesting too, comparing it to Lila they might see it as real, just more boastful that is.

Lila IS a manipulative and convincing liar, she seems to do her research and is never fully claiming things like she did in the Hero's Day part one, she even convinced us audience with her real Identity of Cerise Bianca.

So are these all an excuse for the akumaclass actions? No. Are they gullible? Yes. But are they bullies and defends Lila to the extreme? Heavens no.

3. Chloe Redemption

Now SOME BUT NOT ALL Chloe redemption fan-fictions are pretty bad, most of the ones I read too. Some variety consists of her parents suck that's why she bully, Lila is being mean to Marinette, she defends Marinette, she redeems. That's the basic idea.

I do admit I do love Chloe redemption fics when the whole purpose is to make her understand what she does is bad, realizes that she is becoming the abuser like her parents, and is willing and wanting to change, not an instant change but slow and gradual. Not for the sake of needing a new bff for Marinette or out of the blue.

This is my least complaints. I have a list as big as the "Things I Hate About The Miraculous Show Edition" So if you want that then let me know.

I cannot explain to you what hell the past week and a half have been at work. I've been battling the absolute worst cough for about two weeks, and if it weren't a week and a half before my students' AP exam, I should probably have taken a sick day or two to recover. And then there were endless meetings and two parent-teacher conferences, and my principal (who I like) got promoted to a job in the district, so now we'll have some newbie next year, and also I had to run the Beta Club induction ceremony basically alone this year, and-- friends, there is no tired like the end-of-year high school teacher tired.

Anyway. I swung by the doc on my way home (after staying after two hours so a kiddo could make up a test), got my chest x-rayed (no pneumonia, so that's good!), got some steroids and other drugs, and now--

Now we make a whole pot of tea, and settle in to rewatch the second episode of ANDOR, season 2: "Sagrona Teema!"

Okay, so first things first: this episode was the one where I realized—Nicholas Britell isn’t doing the music for this season, and I’m sad about it. I don’t think the new composer, Brandon Roberts, is bad—I just don’t think the score is as spare and unusual. I think this is more… conventional… scoring, and I think it’s therefore less surprising and effective. But it’s early days—maybe Roberts will impress me more as we go along.

Starting with that slow pan up to Luna’s delicately arched throat as he tilts his head back to catch individual drops of water in his open mouth while bound on the floor of a broken-down ship—jesus. Yeah, that’ll work. Y’all are crazy for that, Gilroy et al.

If we have to be trapped on Planet Dipshit, I dig that we get to see Cassian shot-calling even when in a shitty position. (“Hey, it’s not gonna rain forever. You might want to bank some water.”) He’s good at this, if “this” is negotiating and pushing people who are the dangerous kind of stupid.

Kleya HATES this fucking wedding. She hates these people so much. She just wants to be back with her comms where she can DO something. I need to know what her background is—like, why is she so in this? Why does she hate this all so much? She’s right to, of course, but—ho did she come to that position? I desperately need to know.

Mon and Perrin are amazing. Like, they are terrible together, but you can tell—they’ve been chained together so long that they have this awful rhythm and understanding. And sometimes they care about each other, or at least the echo of who they were at some point, and sometimes they’d happily kill each other. Mostly it’s somewhere in between. But there’s some warmth—maybe jealousy, maybe not—in Perrin warning Mon off Tay, and that little brush of her robe at the end. It’s not a good relationship, but it’s theirs, and they put in some damn work.

NO SMALL JOBS AT THE BUREAU OF STANDARDS. Syril, you obsessive middle manager. God, he’s such a dweeb. Someone shoved him in a locker and he never recovered. (I mean. Obviously that was his mom.)

Every single woman in the world has had this conversation with a fucking creep before. And you know exactly where it’s going. And how it could end. The second I saw that shot of the lieutenant coming around to the shed where Bix was, my hands balled themselves into fists, and I was like, “Get yourself out into daylight, girl. Get where someone might possibly be able to see you.”

But regarding the, “I’m not sure my husband would approve,” line—I’ve heard folks saying this is evidence that Cass and Bix are together-together again, and I don’t know? (This is not because I dislike the idea of Bix and Cass. I like them!) I’m just not sure if Cass goes from “kill me or take me in” to being in a relationship again that quickly. Especially given the awful circumstances Bix had just gone through, what with Dr. Gorst and the torture and all.

Chandrila-slash-Catalonia is gorgeous. I love the ritual hike—if you’re going to have to do some exposition dumping, do it on the way to Monserrat, where an elder will say a blessing and some children will chant, and then—poof!—purification.

Back on Planet Dipshit, the rebel factions have decided to pull the TIE into shooting range with ropes. But luckily, Cassian is good at math!

Sincerely, I need to know what his educational background is. Like, he does the calculation of how many centimeters per minute equals when the gun can hit the target in literally a few seconds. And in ROGUE ONE, he does the flight calculations in his head during the planetary destruction of Jedha. Like—that is some serious skill, and I think that it requires a little bit of training?

Kleya walking into the antiquities shop is like Batman going into the Batcave, I swear to god. She looks so at home.

Mon’s problem is that she persists in thinking of problems as negotiations and spreadsheets. Senator. Sometimes, problems are physical obstacles. And you are going to have to fucking knock them down to get rid of them.

Perrin’s really charming sometimes, isn’t he. That’s a good speech. Bad values, I think—just pure hedonism—but an effective piece of rhetoric. You can see why he’s a useful political spouse and why Mon wouldn’t just leave him at the first chance.

Back on Planet Dipshit, our two leaders of the rival factions come forth and agree to lay down arms—and play Space Rock-Paper-Scissors. While they’re busy making, I dunno, rancor claws with their hands, Cass kicks out a compartment on his old busted ship, neutralizes the guard, and runs for the TIE Advanced—all while some sort of Jungle Dino Hog charges the dipshits and allows Cassian to make his getaway.

And as he zooms off, we see two unmistakable ziggurats—this isn’t Planet Dipshit. This is fucking Yavin IV. And Cass is going to have to come back here, and you KNOW he’s going to be so annoyed about it.

I already went over why I like Lukagami here, so I'm gonna go with ChloNath.

First of all, I can see why they'd like each other. Nathanaël has been characterized as having a bit of an anger problem ever since his first appearance, so it's not that much of a stretch to think that he's had to deal with people who told him to stop being angry, like it's that simple. He would therefore relate to how people tell Chloé to "be nice", but never elaborate on what that actually means or give her a solid incentive to do so. Chloé would similarly relate to Nathanaël's insecurities, even if she doesn't openly admit it at first. Chloé also strikes me as someone who likes the angry, combative type. She seems to quickly get bored of people who yield to her—Kim did everything she asked and was rejected with extreme prejudice, and the less said about Sabrina the better. And it makes perfect sense, because Chloé is used to being given things on a silver platter. Everything she gets without having worked for it is going to have no value for her.

Now, this does sound like a relationship that would quickly spin out of control, but honestly I think it'd actually serve as a great vehicle for self-improvement for both of them. For one, of them are the way they are because they're constantly acting like they have something to prove. Chloé is trying to be the "exceptional" person worth her mother's time, and Nathanaël lashes out at people because he's trying to project the image of someone that shouldn't be messed with. So, both of them are likely to double down when they feel judged or rejected. If they're with someone who meets them on their own terms and who they can safely take their issues out on, they're eventually going to get to the point where they go "Wait, this is dumb. Why am I doing this?" For another thing, both of them have this thing where they project their idea of the "perfect" partner on their crushes and get super huffy when said crushes don't stick to the script. Only, they're about as far away from each other's ideal as possible, so being together is going to teach them to stop living in their own heads and take the other person as they are. It's the same reason the Love Square works so well—or at least it would in a better show. Adrien having a completely hidden side to him that Marinette has to reconcile would teach her that love is less about planning cute dates and making gifts for someone's next 35 birthdays, and more about actually understanding the person next to her with their flaws and sins. And vice-versa for Adrien, of course.

Second of all, staying on that "perfect partner" idea for a bit, most of Chloé's ideal of the perfect guy comes from her parents in one way or another. Nathanaël being the furthest thing away from that would mark a definitive break between the values instilled in her and who she chooses to be going forward. It would force her to choose between what she's been taught and what she actually wants in life, and to actually commit to that choice.

Third, Nathanaël would be one of the first to correct people when they call Chloé irredeemable, even if it's just in a "It's not that she can't get better, it's that she doesn't want to" kind of way. Nath's Jewish, and in Judaism there's not really such thing as a point of no return. Evil is a choice one makes, and not making that choice is seen as always a possibility. You know that bit in Steven Universe where White Diamond randomly stops being a tyrant because of a single conversation (nay, a single comeback)? It's that idea, taken to the extreme. Nathanaël is going to be one of the few people who, even if he doesn't personally forgive Chloé, is never going to deny that she's got the capacity for change.

Judaism also sees good and evil as less about being and more about doing, and emphasizes taking real, tangible measures to fix what you've done. Nathanaël would force Chloé to seek atonement in a real way, where she has to think about the impact of her actions and actually put in effort to make up for her wrongdoings.

[Sidenote, typing this out makes me realize just how completely at odds Nathanaël would be with the show's system of morality where intent is everything. He'd be the least likely to judge Chloé for doing the right thing for the "wrong" reasons, but also the least likely to let, say, Marinette or Félix off the hook because they had "good intentions". No wonder he doesn't get a lot of screen time.]

Lastly, they have had the most interesting interactions with Hawk Moth. Nathanaël is the first character we see to be punished for trying to defy him (Evillustrator), and Chloé is the first character to actually succeed in defying him (Miraculer). If there was a scene where Chloé helped Nathanaël break free of an akumatization, it'd bring everything full circle.

I'm asking in genuine curiosity; is Twitter just behind the curve or is there a real rise in anti-crackship sentiment? I mean I've talked to people who just prefer to ship whatever's canon so long as it's not an actual crime, but... it just feels so boring.

I love jinx so much and even if you DO toss aside all the horrible shit she’s done, Silco is STILL bad. She was a little girl and he put a gun in her hand, and I’ve heard people argue that Vander did the same thing with Vi but I disagree. He actively discouraged her from fighting and made it clear that needless violence is only more tragedy on their shoulders, not a triumph.

Silco loves Jinx, he really does, but he doesn’t understand that what she needs in her life is people who care about her and don’t ask her to make weapons of war. Vi struggles to understand that Powder is Jinx now, but if someone actually EXPLAINED to her that she finds the name Jinx to be empowering, I bet you that she would have tried her best.

It bugs me a bit when people throw so much blame onto Vi for being a child in equally a traumatic situation as Jinx, and thus responding in an irrational but not unlikely manner.

They’re kids in a world that doesn’t care about them, and trying to blame them for it because you simp for the hot old man (it’s ok guys, I get it) just makes me wonder if you understood the show.

Silco loved her, and Vi loved her, and yet it still was not enough to save them when all it might have took was a simple conversation, and therein lies the tragedy.

So I’m kinda curious, I know you said you are not much of a shipping person (aside from like SkSw Zelink and Miphlink) but are there any of the popular ships that stand out either as ones you think are cute or ones you really do not like?

Hmmm 🤔 I’m fairly neutral or just meh about most, but I guess there are a few that stand out? Or maybe I should just list my opinions on the major ones I know of?

BotW Zelink - I don’t mind it post Calamity. Not really into it pre-calamity, it feels like it’s at the expense of a relationship that’s already there (Mipha and Link). But dang the two definitely would be close after the calamity, given that they’re the only ones who have such a shared experience. I could see it being romantic or platonic, and there’s kind of a heavy leaning towards romantic but then totk also makes it seem platonic sometimes too?? Whatever. Nintendo likes to be vague (except Skyward Sword, let’s be real, nothing about that was vague lol), but I can see it happening after everything.

Midlink - I think it’s sweet. I think in canon Link’s most likely gonna either be with Ilia or someone we don’t even see in the game as he travels, but Midna definitely could’ve had a chance with him if there’d been more time for them. They had good chemistry, and the physical attraction was clearly there when Link saw her true form.

OoT Zelink - Nope. Especially Adult Timeline, absolutely not. It’s a pet peeve of mine that people ship this Link with anyone in the Adult Timeline - he is a child in a teenager’s body. NO. Sure, his body might be attracted to people, but his brain sure ain’t figuring it out, and anybody who wants to explore that just… no. NO. As for Child Timeline, I feel like this Link has a hard time reconciling what happened, has a hard time letting go, and would therefore have a really difficult time separating Child Timeline Zelda from Adult Timeline Zelda and that would lead to too many mixed feelings. I can’t see them getting together. This ship is either entirely one sided (I can 100% see Adult Timeline Zelda romanticizing the Hero she’s been waiting for before she really realizes that he’s still a kid, if she ever realizes it) or nonexistent.

Malink - I quite like it. I honestly didn’t really see it in the game, there’s like… enough for it to happen, I guess, but admittedly Linked Universe has made me biased. But given that it’s heavily implied TP Link and OoT Link are related, and TP Link knows Epona’s song, and Malon was a friend of Link’s, and she talks of marrying a knight in shining armor, and Shade is a knight in shining armor… I can put two and two together. And I think they’d be cute together.

Sidlink - Just… why. I get that half the fandom is in love with Sidon, so they project that, but good grief. Link was engaged to his sister. That’s some Hamlet level incest nonsense there. Link may not remember Mipha all that well but Sidon freaking does. Just because the dude is ridiculously sweet and supportive to literally everyone and about literally everything doesn’t mean he’s romantically inclined towards everyone. He’s a golden retriever, there are two brain cells firing between those fins, let the man just be happy and vibe, good grief. I had this opinion before totk came out, and then the addition of Yona made me laugh because I knew the fandom would blow up about it, but she’s honestly really sweet and good for him - I loved when she called him out to help him, she’s a good wife, I like her 😤

Uh… I think those are all the popular ships I have any kind of actual opinions about? Aside from Skyward Sword Zelink and Miphlink, love them both, mwuah. The rest I’m just meh. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Honestly, I’m very inclined to say that just because two people share oxygen together doesn’t mean they’re gonna fall in love. Just because two people might have some chemistry doesn’t mean they’re gonna fall in love. And just because two hormonal teenagers think each other is hot does not mean they’re gonna end up together. But since romance is such a huge thing in fandoms and in our culture, and I am very much not in a romantic relationship and therefore the culture makes me feel like my life is incomplete, I am not very inclined to get into shipping all that much (translation: sometimes shipping is downright annoying to me, and I hate it when fandoms ship characters together just because they like each other as if other relationships can’t even exist or be meaningful), even the ones that I love. My biggest weakness is loving families, though, so that’s usually where I cheat lol.
